Walk to harbour Cais Comercial and back with a stop for lunch at the Sabores do Churrasco, a nice Rodizio (±55 €). While Volker drove home to get the theatre tickets for our tonight show "Luís de Matos Impossível ao Vivo", Julia went shopping at Decathlon.

GUADIANA

Friday 31 January 2020: Loulé - Ayamonte - Ribeira do Vascão - Giões - Pereiro (alt 250 m): 155 km, cloudy 22ºC pretty humid

Drive to Ayamonte, grocery shopping at Mercadona in the Plaza Mall, drive to the border from Alentejo to Algarve on the river Vasão. There we had lunch at the picknick area and then did the MTL-PR8 walk (one of those that we did for the Câmara Municipal de Mértola) (5km, 1,5 hours). Drive to Giões where we walked thr0ugh the rural village, had a coffee at the snack-bar do Poço Novo. Drive to Pereiro where we stayed overnight on a aire (Parque de Merendas e Autocaravanismo do Pereiro, free of charge and very quiet) with view onto a reservoir. N37º26'40" W7º35'17"

Saturday 1 February 2020: Pereiro (Alcoutim): 20ºC sunny

After our late breakfast we walked Caminhos da Fonte ALC-PR4 (10 km, 2,5 hours). Stop with a beer in Pereiro and back home. Wonderful BBQ with solomillo bought at the Mercadona in Spain. Chill out.

Sunday 2 February 2020: Pereiro - Giões:  km - 20ºC sunny

In order to be on time to Hermes' funeral we had to hit the trail early: O Viçoso (11,5 km, 3 hours). Back home.
